Odd World Studio is a combination of love for photographic gear, and a shop where you can find art prints and more from various artists. In 2026, the decision was made to add more products, such as film, and film photography gear, used photography gear and more. This comes from a desire to keep photography alive and accessible for all.
Odd World Studio was started in 2016 by Northeast-Ohio-based photographer Johnny Joo—who has spent over 20 years studying photography and experimenting with film and digital.
That's me; I'm Johnny and I'm writing in the third-person. Weird. Let's stop that.
When I started Odd World Studio, it became a place where I would showcase art, and many personal projects I was working on over the years. But what I really wanted from the start (and just didn't really have the means to do so) was to create a shop where I could offer various products and some services. The same services I've spent years obsessing over through my own work, and work I would often do for friends and clients.
I want this space to feel like stepping back a bit into the time when websites were fun. Not a boring corporate entity with some stale, minimalistic face. Things have started to feel far too clinical. And don't get me wrong, I do love a good minimalistic design, but I just kind of wanted to have some fun with this, and I hope you'll all enjoy it! Let's take a little step back to the late ‘90s and early 2000s together.
